A FAMILY THANK YOU TO JOHN'S FRIENDS AND FANS
It is now 12 months since our brother John died. My sister Margaret and I would like
to now thank John's friends and fans for their kind messages of condolence after his
untimely death. A memorial stone has been erected in the churchyard of St. Lawrence's Church, Edgware, London. John spent his formative years in this area and was a choirboy
at the Church. As a young man he practiced his banjo and guitar in Canons Park
nearby. John's love of baroque music was perhaps inspired at this church where Handel
composed many of his works and played the organ there. A simple wooden cross
which had previously marked the family grave site for 60 years has now been relocated
to Dartmoor and is placed alongside a red oak which has been planted in lasting
memory of John. John will be forever in our hearts.

The red oak that's been planted
for John will grow to 60 ft and is
a truly magnificent tree-a fitting memorial to John
